“ From her early career in fashion, to her later shift to sculpture and, more recently, to digital media, she remains committed to an interdisciplinary approach, searching out new sources and stimuli without losing touch with her textile background. She comments, ‘ My goal as an artist and instructor, through research of traditional textiles and emerging techniques, is to create a multi-dimensional exchange of knowledge.’ Her recent subject matter is of fish fossils and skeletons inspired by her study with a fish scientist (ichthyologist), but it also makes reference to her Dutch Heritage. “ - Susan Isaacs
